Me & Aaron 9

aaronbenedict's trip to Pittsburgh, Day 5

Thursday was aaronbenedict's last day in Pittsburgh. He had a meeting in the Strip District, so I used that time to wander around and take some pictures.

And that's it until next time. We don't even know when (or where) "next time" will be. At The Co-op, Rob is saying no more vacation requests for August, and aaronbenedict doesn't even know when or where his next trip will be. With Kat gone (Wednesday was her last day) there isn't even anyone I could ask to switch shifts with me. It's really depressing me. I hate having to say goodbye to him.

Non-CCMA Update

I'm home from swimming (outdoor pools are open -- yaay!) and I have about half an hour before I need to leave for work. Uploading CCMA pictures is going to take way longer than that, so here are the pictures from the rest of my week:

The protest, the picnic, and karma.

These pictures are of the Petland protest, Sprout's black eye, the Co-op picnic, my many many cats. Hopefully, this will be the last of the Sprout pictures for a good, long while:

Birthday Sprout-tacular.

In honor of Sprout's and Ant's return from their trip to Philadelphia, here are the pictures from the birthday Sprout-tacular (apologies about the poor quality of some of the pictures -- my batteries were dying):

** I think we've already established that I can never remember her name

July pictures.

Moving right along ...

I'm going to devote a separate post to Sprout's birthday party, just because. Here, then, are my pictures from July, sans the birthday Sprout-tacular:

* Have I mentioned recently that I am twelve years old?
** Before the cops chased them away
*** I didn't really expect the picture to turn out, which is why I only took one
**** Have I mentioned that Miss Prissy Pants and Sprout share a birthday?
***** The first time I've taken a picture of her that she said she liked!
****** AKA the day I made Sprout tell me I looked pretty
******* OK, so you've seen these already, but they bear repeating. I'm thinking of the name Dot/Dottie -- whaddaya think?

June Photo Dump.

Here are all of the pictures from June that I never uploaded. The Antioch reunion pictures are going to be in several separate posts, and probably won't happen until next week, at the earliest.

But as for the rest of June:

* When it looked like I was going to be closing on my house, I got all sentimental and took a bunch of pictures of the building I live in now, the view from my apartment, etc.
** AKA "The look on my face"
*** With a big 'ol lipstick smudge from Joey Coconuts
**** Why, oh why, can I never remember her name?
***** This is the kitten I was originally scheduled to get. Once he gets here -- which should be on Saturday -- he will be renamed "Muchi." Muchi is one of Opie's many nicknames, and it seems appropriate to name his protégé after him.
****** Half dead and I don't even care; I love peonies!
******* It drives me up a tree when I see people fishing there, and even more so because the cops completely ignore it. I've become the person who calls The Mayor's Office Service Center daily to complain.

Xanadu.

Just got home from seeing Xanadu with eric, The Puppy, Kat, Julie, and Maggie. Sprout was supposed to go (as were Ant and Leo the Virgo), but they all bailed at randomly scattered last minutes. Soooooo their loss. eric, Julie and I all laughed so hard that we cried pretty much throughout the entire movie, and Julie actually won tonight's door prize: a skating party for ten at Romp N' Roll, complete with pizza party and several hundred game tokens. It's going to be the most spectacularly fun thing ever. You know, aside from Xanadu.

Oh, and I made Sprout tell me I looked pretty today. Because I did. :)
