Local, Live and Luscious Food Festival

Saturday, February 12

@ the Garfield Community Activity Center

Admission is income sensitive $5-10 sliding scale. No one turned away due to lack of funds

Together, local musicians (Blues band In Violet, Mitch and Tate from Space Junk, Riccardo Robinson, and Samantha McDonough), poets (Yona Harvey and Terrence Hayes, Garfield Youth and open mic for all poets), chair massages and, DJ Orlando will be bringing socially-charged music and words to this event.

Farm games for the family and food for all!

Fresh, nutritious buffet and beverages provided, in various forms, by the East End Food Co-op, Morgan and the Ovary House Sunday Food Pick-up, Steffany Yamada, Maria Graziani, Brian Funk and many others

Healcrest Urban Community Farm, located on Hillcrest between Atlantic and Pacific Avenues is a do-it-yourself-centered vegetable and herb farm focused on the understanding and hands-on exploration of sustainable city-farming techniques and natural healing therapies.

The mission of the farm is to advocate the people’s power to grow local, nutritious, healing foods & herbs through voluntary community action, commitment and collaboration.
