I keep waiting to see if some athelete, american or otherwise, will do something symbolic like turn their back to the flag during the national anthem during the awards ceremony.

I don't think that there is that kind of energy right now.

I heard that Greece is good about separating US politics and administration from the American people.... I think others may be the same way...

This SHOULDN't Be about politics per se... I think the black power salute was about something different...

There already has been one Iranian athelete that refused to compete against an Israeli...

THat is a shame... The Olympics SHOULD be about good sportmanship, friendly competition, human evolution...and fun... I also personally believe it should also be about PEACE...

The ancient Olympics enacted a TRUCE for all countries so their atheletes could come to competition safely....

I think while I am disgusted by my administration... I think that some countries are "big" enough to separate the US administration from its citizens... which at the Olympics I think that is good. We need some healing and good will in the world.
