As I fell asleep last night, I remembered another part of the conversation that made me feel better. Bill Shannon asked for my email address and I dragged my dog-eared, sticker- and packing tape-covered notebook out of my bag to write it down for him. Seeing this, he said "You always did have those notebooks ..."

THAT is a much better thing to be remembered for.

I used to quote Shakespeare at you when I was mad? Holy crap was I weird ...

And I was an ass back then, so?
Yes, you did. One memory that flashes in to my mind:
We were walking down Beechwood Blvd towards Squirrell Hill after the first time we had sex, and you wouldn't stop with the Shakespeare until we hit civilization (well, Forbes Avenue anyway)

OK, now I know you're hallucinating, because the first time we had sex was in Frick Park up by Allderdice (good heavens -- did I just publish that info online?) and afterwards I left you and went to a party at James' house on Sherbrook Street. I remember this distinctly because my friend Kate was there and I told her all about it.

I don't know WHO you're thinking of ...

After your New Year's post, you're worried about what you publish?

You're right about the first time. It had to be early in that phase of out relationship since you weren't all that comfortable about sex, and you weren't letting me finish.

The time I'm recalling we must have been coming from the Nature Center part of Frick. I *think* you were peeved because we were late getting back to Forbes and Murray to meet your dad (I could be wrong. It was 18 years ago). I remember bits and pieces, but nothing coherent enough to quote either line or verse
