Maxine Kaplan.

Last Friday I found out that my Dad's cousin Maxine had died, suddenly, in her home.

After many days of checking, I finally found an obituary online. I think it actually touches on her quirky wonderfulness, which is pretty rare in an obituary. I gather the funeral is tomorrow, outside of Chicago. I would have liked to have gone, but it was my Dad's call, and he's weird about death. Then again, I suppose he thinks I'm weird about death. We both have our own way, I suppose.

No, apparently the funeral was this past Wednesday, in San Francisco. But I gather she's being buried in Illinois, and that's what today's service was.
