Noblesse.

A conversation about Purim this morning (happy Purim, y'all!) randomly reminded me that when I lived in Israel, I smoked the most disgusting cigarettes ever: Noblesse. Israeli cigarette aficionados may recall Noblesse as that brand that was kind of a step down from Time (and Mustang -- remember Mustang?). From what I read on Cigarettespedia (who knew that existed?) they "...[have] the highest tar (19mg) and nicotine (1.3mg) amounts available on the Israeli mass-market." Mmmmm... Yummy.

So who else remembers Noblesse?

ETA:
Just for those confused Americans out there: Just because the pack is green doesn't mean they're menthol. :)

Don't recall those...
...but I do remember Cleopatra, an Egyptian brand which was the first I smoked. (Adrian and Jesse bought a couple of cartons to use for weed on that trip.)

Montana was the name of the common Israeli menthol. *Shudder* I smoked a lot of those.

I had never thought of this before at all, but I'm curious -- is "Virginia" tobacco considered a good thing or even an interesting import elsewhere in the world??

(It would be kind of funny to me if Israel were importing "Virginia" tobacco while over here in the States Camel makes a to-do about its tobacco being "Turkish")
