Pre-op.

The cat food and water has all been stowed away. I'm setting my alarm for 6:00 am and planning to drop Opie off around 8:30.

Is is horrible if I admit that I'm scared?

Why would it be horrible? I, for one, envy your ability to have such strong feelings for your pet. Somehow I never could, back when my parents had a cat.

Good luck to you and to Opie.

Re: Why would it be horrible?

I think I was thinking something along the lines of "the power of positive thought" and that I had some sort of feline parental responsibility to be an optimistic.

The vet called. He's out of surgery but, otherwise, I know nothing new.

Get well Wishes to Opie
I cried when I took Caesar to get fixed. Deep down, every time that I had to have surgery, I was scared shitless. That cat is just as much a child of yours as anyone's kids are. He chimes in on the phone at all times, you've had him for ages, he's there to comfort you when no one else is (as is Jacob and Tino). I wish I could do more for you in your time of worry and if anyone gives you hell on the fact that you are as worried as I know you are, fuck 'em.

p.s.
I don't know if Lurpy or Zukoski remembers, but they were with me when I had to take Caesar and Cleo to my Aunt's house because the Landlord made us get rid of them. I was a wreck. I don't know if I sound like a raving idiot in all this, but if I do, oh well.

Best of luck. And of course you're scared—he's your cat.
