Announcing a new event for The Pittsburgh Vegan Meetup Group!
What: Address Co-Op Cafe Concerns at Board Meeting
When: Monday, January 28, 7:00 PM
Where: Click the link below to find out!
Who should come: Anyone concerned about them reducing the number of vegan options in the cafe and their use of highly processed ingredients and lack of disclosure of some ingredients (e.g. high fructose corn syrup and dairy)
Why: If the Co-Op understands that in going in the direction they have chosen they are going to lose more business instead of gaining it, we can help them to make a positive change for everyone.
Event Description: The best thing people can do is turn up at the next board meeting in large numbers and complain bitterly. I know no one likes to go out to such things, especially in January, but the public comments section is at the beginning and you can leave after that. ... The next board meeting is at 7 pm on Monday Jan. 28th. It's held on the "Bridge" - if you're in the lower part of the Co-op parking lot you'll see two doors in the side of the building. The one down on the left leads to the Fencing Studio and Gymkhana. The one further up to the right is the door to take. You take an immediate right once you go inside through another door, up the stairs, and the door to the Co-Op's admin rooms is on the right at the top of the stairs.
If people can't make the board meeting, they should write not just to Rob, but also to the BOD at: boarddir[at]eastendfood[dot]coop
Rob's email is: rbaran[at]eastendfood[dot]coop
