From the email I just sent:

It's getting close, so please let me know if you'll be there or not. If you're getting this email it means that you've either said yes or else not responded one way or the other.

So the movies --

I found a website that lists movie showtimes for *both* The Manor and The Squirrel Hill:

Unfortunately pghwob, it looks like you're out of luck in terms of "There Will Be Blood." But there's "Charlie Wilson's War," which is supposed to offer a good history of the US entanglement with Afghanistan (even if it *does* star Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks). Other options still on the table include "The Great Debaters," "Juno," "P.S. I Love You" and "Sweeney Todd." I'm unclear about "No Country For Old Men" -- it looks like tomorrow might be the last day that it's showing at The Manor.

I was thinking one of the late afternoon showings (start time somewhere in the 3:00 - 5:00 range) which will put us at New Dumpling House sometime between 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Does anyone have a strong feeling about that? Earlier? Later? We should definitely do food *after* the movie though, as there's no telling how long we'll have to wait for a table.

OK. Hope to see everyone on Tuesday. Let me know if you're coming (or if you can't).

Friended - I think you're my wife's Pittsburgh doppelganger.

We're going out for Chinese food Tuesday, then to a movie - I want to see "The Golden Compass", for maximum blasphemy, Amy (ms_xeno) wants to see "The Savages".

I friended you because I randomly stumbled upon your journal and then remembered that you had said some things I liked in the pittsburgh community -- I believe in response to one of my smoking-related posts? I forget -- it's been a while.

Hmmm...I don't really remember what thread it was...

Looked at your info - my dad went to Allderdice back in the mid-50s. I go back to Pittsburgh once a year - grew up in Bethel Park, but slowly getting to not see the bridges as a barrier to going into the city.

Sorry -- it wasn't one of the smoking posts; it was the Pittsburgh 122 post. Linkage.

And my Mom went to Allderdice in the late-50s. She graduated with Edgar Snyder.
