Lifted from badrahessa

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. (Some I know too well - ha!) I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they listen in rapture to the love-music of mud-bears." (Think of it as your Yule present to me.)

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

I still think Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band of all time, but I mostly love their slower, more contemplative songs (Thank You, The Rain Song, Going to California). 80s band OMD is also up there as one of my top five favorites.

When I was in Italy, I once rented a boat for water skiiing, but before meeting up with my friends at the appointed secluded cove, the weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed (just like Gilligan's), the engine died, and the boat sank. I found myself swimming for almost a half an hour before being rescued by a local fishing boat.

I don't have webbed toes.

Oh, sorry...had to butt in and agree with you on Led Zeppelin here. I was just listening to them the other day and thought, "Damn. DAMN! UNGH!

And Robert Plant still makes amazing music. The new one with Alison Krause is amazing, as was his last solo album.
