I forgot to mention that the Co-op crime wave has continued. When I stopped by yesterday, eric informed me that on Tuesday night, someone smashed yet *another* window, came into the store, and stole stuff from the HBA section. Dan later filled in the specifics: they only took lotion, and, specifically, Giovanni lotion.

I don't know what the fuck is going on, but man do I wish it would stop already.

I am finding myself weirdly fascinated by the things that are being stolen. There are things that make sense to steal and then there's lotion. I certainly want to know just how big *is* the resale market for Giovanni lotion in Pittsburgh?

After Dan told me what had been stolen, he told me another Co-op theft story.

Dan is the Supplements Buyer. Several years back, he carried deer antler velvet, which is used for "male enhancement."

So it's Christmastime and Dan notices that the deer velvet seems to be sold out. Then a customer approaches him and tells him that there's some guy standing on the sidewalk a block and a half away, selling the deer velvet -- Co-op price tags on the boxes and everything.

The rationale appeared to be this: there was a picture of a reindeer on the box, so people would buy it as a Christmas gift.

In other words, people are idiots, and there's a resale market for *anything* apparently.
