Anna Nicole Smith

I was just saying this to bishopjoey, but I think it bears sharing with everyone else.

I think Anna Nicole's death has taken over my imagination because I still remember what it's like to walk around as stoned and confused as she did (or, I suppose, as she appeared to be). Who knows if her death was accidental or intentional, but, really, there's no rational reason why I survived my drugging and she didn't survive hers.

I don't like how people put her in the same slot as Paris Hilton. Anna Nicole came from nothing and clawed her way up... she did a lot of dirty work, and sure it's not something to admire, but in some weird way I have more respect for her than most other celebrities. At least, I'd cut her more slack for riding off the fumes of whatever celebrity she once had.

Paris Hilton also seems just plain mean. Anna Nicole never struck me as mean, just sad.

And by "sad" I mean actually clinically depressed -- I don't mean it like "she's just sad."

I'm personally really curious about the TrimSpa thing. It seems like a lot of people die from diet drugs making their hearts go haywire. I honestly wonder if Anna Nicole's sudden dramatic weight loss ("it's TrimSpa, baby!") had something to do with this.

Yeah, she seemed sad and lonely, and like she really just wanted people to like her.

I wouldn't doubt if TrimSpa had something to with it... especially if she was taking anything else (like anti-depressants, or drinking, etc.).

I'll bet that stuff, along with whatever other drugs she's taken, all contributed to organ failure.

Poor woman. I hope whoever ends up with her baby actually loves her and takes good care of her.

Right. Even if the autopsy determines that she didn't die of an overdose, it wouldn't necessarily mean that her death wasn't "drug-related."

I wonder this too, the diet drugs, they can be so dangerous.

And I also concur, she was a fighter, she overcame hurdles that most people cow under to. Granted she wasn't perfect, but ya know... i don'y know anyone who is, and certainly no one who could stand up to the kind of scrutiny and publicity that she did.

even sadder, she's got an innocent baby girl that's going to end up in nasty court battles only to grow up without her mother.

also, i never heard her compared to paris hilton, but i agree that that doesn't quite work.
