Adventures in Schedule Conflicts

Well, I got my schedule for next week, and it doesn't make me happy.

It's the same as this week -- all nights, with Wednesday and Thursday as my days off. And since this is two weeks in a row now, I'm wondering if this is going to become my regular schedule.

Overall I don't really give a crap, but at the moment, I've been trying to plan an outing with me, n0thingman, lilostitch and hopefully pghwob to go to see "Running With Scissors" when it opened next weekend. Folks may remember how much I enjoyed the book when I read it this past summer. I'm always wary that movies won't do justice to the books they were based upon, but fuck it -- I still want to go see it, you know?

Meh. I'm at work right now and it's incredibly slow. At least I'm working Customer Service so I can fuck around on the computer when I'm bored.

Well, it's a possibility I'm entertaining, although as you might have guessed, weekend days off are kind of at a premium around here. I may be able to switch a closing shift for an opening shift, but that comes with its own set of problems (like having to be at work at 7:45 on a Saturday morning ...)

I've been hearing "Friday, October 27th in select cities ..." The ads have already started running here, so I'm betting that we're one of those cities.

I read the book this past summer. There are some changes (of course), but overall, the movie was pretty true to the book. I think you'll like it.
