Last night I went out for drinks after work with my old friend _aqualung_. I was done with work a good while earlier than he was, so, when I arrived in Squirrel Hill, I figured I'd stop in to Barnes & Noble and do some browsing.

My friend Santa Dan had mentioned the book He's Just Not That Into You to me at one point, so I decided to look for it and check it out.

What I found sitting right next to it was It's Called A Breakup Because It's Broken, a book by one of the same authors. I ended up buying it, and sitting and reading some of it while waiting for _aqualung_ to finish up work.

I can't tell you how much I wish I'd picked up this book about eight weeks ago. I think it would have saved me from making a giant ass of myself. If anyone else out there is going though a breakup, I highly recommend it.

It's pretty funny. My favorite part so far are the "Psycho Confessional"s -- stories from people who have really crossed the line, usually in the name of revenge. The first one was about a woman who took her ex on a long car drive, then kicked him out of the car in the middle of nowhere, just as it was starting to rain.

Glad I never went that nutso.

Oh, I did. In my head, anyway. Scorn me and you'll be subjected to the furies of my imagination!

This is the closest I ever came, and that was ten years ago, with Daryk.

That might be the funniest thing I've read in ages. And this, this is the cherry on top:

Incidentally, Daryk still says that that night was the reason why he no longer has a doorbell. I think he's kidding, but I'm not sure.
