I wanted to write a note of thanks.

Thanks to raanve, who sent me a wonderful care package, which I just received today (well, I suppose, technically yesterday now). She sent incense (so far I've tried the Magic Garden and the Tibetan Orchid), a very cute little incense holder, and a mix CD. Reading the track listing, I laughed out loud when I saw she had included the song "Seether" by Veruca Salt. It's good to know when people are paying attention.

And I realized that I never made a public thank you to bishopjoey. A few weeks ago, he sent me a package all the way from Prague. Two CDs, and a wonderfully long and typically illegible letter (I remember once years ago vulgarweed and I puzzling over a note from him for hours and ultimately deciding that he had gotten his "cantaloupe" pierced).

Thanks to both of you, and to everyone else who has offered me such kindness these past few months. It's been an incredibly hard time, and it's kindnesses such as these which give me such hope for the future. Thanks.

You're welcome. And yes -- when you wrote that entry about "Seether" I had a flash of recognition, hence its inclusion. :) I do hope you like the rest of the mix! (And the incense. Hehe.)

I saved the incense you labeled as your favorite for last. I'm burning it right now, and you're right -- it's wonderful.

Yeah -- it's nice stuff. :)

If you want more of the same, I can probably locate a store near you that carries our stuff (or I can just send you some more, hehe).

Oops... that was me. I just now realized that I wasn't logged in for that comment. :P

I made a tape of the mix so I could listen to it in the car. It's been really great to have something to listen to that has no past associations for me -- the songs on that mix are all new (well, except for "Seether," and the stuff I remember from the 80s), and not songs that I have any past relationship associations with. It's just what I needed. Thanks.

I'm so glad you like it! :)

And you're certainly welcome.

Hee hee...
You are most welcome. I so apologise for my handwriting. Much of it was composed during a conference at which I couldn't pay due attention to one of the speakers. As a child, I complained that I couldn't read my Bobe's handwriting, at all. Her cursive was a dream (once I figured it out) compared to my chicken scratch.

I figured you'd like the Ella quite a lot and at least be amused by the Ethel. I found I couldn't give Miss Merman's disco period more than about 5 minutes. Kinda painful.

Re: Hee hee...
I can't remember if I ever showed you what my Dad's handwriting looks like, but it's taken me 35 years and I still have trouble figuring it out sometimes.
