Good morning and welcome to another update on my spastic little life.

On Saturday they moved my Dad from the hospital to rehab. I worked yesterday so I didn't get a chance to visit (unlike Shadyside Hospital, the rehab place is on the South Side, and thus not on my way to work), but now I had two more days off, so I plan on trying to visit him this afternoon.

Having today and tomorrow off from work kind of sucks because that means that starting Wednesday, I'll be working for nine days straight. Of course, it's somewhat my own fault; I asked to not work tonight so that unixd0rk, Shane and I could go see Saxon Shore at Garfield Artworks. Then again, I only requested this evening off; I said I'd be fine with working until 7:30.

But oh well, whatever, and whatcha gonna do.

I really need to keep a tape recorder beside my bed because I had this whole big post all worked up in my head as I was falling asleep last night, and now I can't seem to remember much of any of it. Instead, I seem to be writing something along the lines of "in case anyone cares, this is what's gone on in the last week or so."

Random good things: I went to Mad Mex with unixd0rk on Saturday night and discovered that they offer vegan soy cheese and tofu sour "cream" - yaay! And twice in the past two weeks I've made vegan Rice Krispie treats, which is just good news all around. So what's new in your life?

You didn't know Mad Mex offered vegan alternatives? Oh, no! Because they make tasty food, in addition to rather good margaritas.

There is one here. I should go.

I definitely didn't know that there was a Mad Mex in Philly. Yes, you should go.

And the only thing that unixd0rk and I drank while we were there was water.

But we did go after 11:00 pm, which meant that everything we ate was half price. Yes, I was a good patron and tipped on the original prices.
