Jacob Update.

He's still in the e.r., and will probably stay there for a while. The X-ray didn't show as much heart failure as they'd expected, but it did show a mass in his abdomen which is most likely cancer. Adding tests and a potential tumor-removing surgery is going to up the price to the $7,000-$8,000 range. They're talking to me about euthanasia. He was fine yesterday. How the hell did this happen?

How this happens is, the furry little bastards cover up and compensate and appear to be perfectly OK until, suddenly (as far as we know), they're not.

Best wishes for a good resolution, one way or the other. :(

Oh, no.

Cats can be very good at soldiering on despite problems (dogs are crybabies!).

I know you love him. But please don't vet-bill yourself into penury. You've given him a wonderful kitty life.
